Global education technology has long assumed internet connectivity as a baseline. Mentorlens, a standalone AI tutoring device in eyeglass form, runs its entire AI engine within the frame. No phone, app, or internet connection is needed. The device analyzes what the user reads or speaks in real time and delivers individualized educational feedback through a transparent display in the field of view. From language skill assessment to comprehension guidance, MentorLens processes all educational interactions on the device. Design and Build
Mentorlens weighs 35 grams and uses a low-carbon frame. It is made from 90% recycled materials, built with eco-friendly processes, and features a low-power design.
A graphene heatsink keeps the device cool. Visuals appear on a transparent micro-LED waveguide. Three sensors, two microphones, and eye-tracking handle input. The battery lasts up to 10 hours.
How the AI Engine Works On-Device
Mentorlens runs on a 4nm NPU capable of 45 TOPS, purpose-built for ultra-low power AI computing. The ultra-compact built-in AI engine handles all computations locally using an sLLM-based model. Answers reach the user in under half a second without relying on GPU hardware or a network connection.
The device supports a parameter range from 2 billion to 200 billion and is built on a proprietary five-element architecture. Since all processing occurs within the device, user data stays private and secure.
